The Mount Tabor Baptist Church is an unlimited thinking congregation of community minded believers that seeks to grow people and disciples through biblical teaching, creative discipleship and imaginative partnerships that will build a spiritually emotionally healthy thriving church and community.
Our Pastor
Rev. Antonio Darnell Anderson
Rev. Anderson answered the call to become the 3 rd pastor of the Mount Tabor Baptist Church of Philadelphia. Since his arrival, membership has doubled, tithes increased by 40% and new ministries were created to meet the needs of the congregation and community.
Our Church History
How It All Began
In August of 1972, the late Mrs. Edith M. Bell, a spirited missionary with a dream of establishing a "little mission" for the Lord, told many devoted saints of her dreams as she stood in the parking lot of her former church. Others she called daily to help in accomplishing her mission.
